We are Jupiter Medical Center and we are Growing and Hiring. We currently have an opportunity available for a Bio Med Electronic Technician III – BMET III to manage the hospital-wide inspections, troubleshoot, maintain and repair medical equipment as well as selected Clinical Laboratory and Radiologic equipment.  This position is also responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of service and documentation provided by manufacturers and third-party service groups.

To apply for this position, all candidates must have an Associate’s degree, with a minimum of five to eight years experience in a healthcare institution or biomedical engineering program dealing with a variety of medical devices and patient-care-facility issues.  Certification as a biomedical equipment technician by the International Certification Commission (ICC) is also preferred. 

Must have the ability to troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and modify most types of electric, electronic, electromechanical, and pneumatic medical instruments; a thorough knowledge of digital electronics and microprocessor technology is required. Must be able to judiciously apply current regulations, standards, and codes. Since the position bears a high level of responsibility, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as comprehensive project management experience.
